Our vertical load testing unit can pull up to 200,000 lbs with complete and accurate results of a true load. The test bed is large enough to accommodate all types of offshore equipment, including Cargo Boxes, Grocery Boxes, Baskets, Tool Sheds and more.

The vertical load testing unit is more than a pad eye test. Because a true load is simulated, the integrity of the asset is fully tested, including the sides and bottom, to make sure that it is ready sustain the harsh offshore environment. 

In addition to the load test, we also do general visual inspections of the equipment and of critical lifting points and welds:

  • Magnetic particle (MT)
  • Dye penetrant (PT)
  • Ultrasonic testing (UT)

Upon completion, Gulf America provides a certificate of load test and NDE inspection results.
